Hi all, hope everyone's spring / summer is off to a good start.  Just a quick flashlight post.  I've got a pretty good number of various streamlights that I've accumulated over time.  Recently got a protac 1aaa.  So far it's been outstanding.  I've been a longtime fan of the microstream, but aside from being slightly more expensive, so far the protac 1aaa seems to have all the benefits of the microstream, plus more, without adding any downsides (except as mentioned slightly more $).

Theoretical max lumen at just over 100, does nicely with nimh rechargables or alkaline.  I'm not connected to the company, but I've gotta say that I am really liking it.  It's not a replacement for a multi CR123 Surefire, or an 18650 cell or 26650 cell powerhouse.  But it sure carries nicely.

Ok, back to spring chores.  Take good care everyone.

mc pennsyltuckey, over and out.
